What We Believe
Bible - We believe the Bible is the infallible, inerrant, inspired, and preserved Word of God. We believe the authorized King James Bible to be the preserved Word of God for English-speaking people. II Timothy 3:16-17; II Peter 1:19-21

God - We believe there is only one true and living God. He is declared in the scriptures (Genesis 1:1) and seen in creation (Psalm 19:1, Romans 1:20) He is existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are co-eternal and co-equal from all eternity, each with distinct personalities, but one essence. Genesis 1:27; John 1:1-3

Jesus Christ - We believe in the virgin birth of Christ, His Deity/Jesus is God, sinless life, vicarious death, along with His bodily resurrection and ascension and in His personal, imminent, pre-tribulation and pre-millennial return. Isaiah 7:14; John 1:1; I Thessalonians 4:13-18

The Holy Spirit - We believe the Holy Spirit executes the plan of God for our conviction and salvation. Christians are partakers of the Holy Spirit and empowered for service by Him. John 14:16-18; Romans 8:16

Man - We believe that man was created in the image of God; and by choice, he fell into sin and death. Hence, every person is sinful and under condemnation to eternal judgment. Genesis 1:27; Romans 3:23; Ephesians 2:1-3

Salvation - We believe that the salvation of sinners is by grace through faith and repentance (a change of mind). We believe the shedding of the sinless blood of Christ, His death, burial, and resurrection the third day is the Gospel and the only way of salvation. Acts 16:31; Ephesians 2:8-10; I Timothy 2:5; Acts 26:20; Acts 20:21
Hell - We believe that Hell is a literal place of fire and torment where those who die in their sins will spend eternity. Mark 9:43-48; Luke 16:19-30

Once saved, always saved - We believe that those who receive Jesus Christ as Saviour are always saved. Salvation is in the finished work of Jesus Christ. Once an individual is born again, that Second Birth cannot be undone any more than the first birth. John 10:27-30; Romans 8:31-34

Local Church - We believe Jesus started the church during His earthly ministry and tied His authority to the baptism of John the Baptist. We believe that a Scriptural church is a visible assembly of saved and scripturally baptized believers, serving together to share the gospel with everyone. Matthew 16:18; 28:18-20; Acts 1:8

Ordinances - We believe the two ordinances of the church are baptism and the Lord's Supper. Baptism is administered by the authority of each local church, for those who have a clear testimony of salvation, and the Lord's Supper is for the members only, of each local church. Acts 2.41-47; 1 Corinthians 11.18-30

Church Membership – We believe anyone seeking membership should be able to share their clear testimony of Salvation, and evidence of scriptural baptism. Or seek a transfer of letter from another local, Independent Baptist Church of like faith and practice. Or surrender to baptism, if saved, but not a member of another Independent Baptist Church of like faith and practice. I Corinthians 11:2, 17-30; Matthew 3:13-17; Matthew 22:23-27; Acts 2:41; Acts 19:1-5

Church Worship – We believe in traditional heart-felt hymns (not CCM), and we encourage modest, appropriate clothing in our worship. We believe that tongues, healing, and other sign gifts have ceased. I Corinthians 13:8; Ephesians 5:19; I Corinthians 14:40
