That is about the last thing anyone would want. Wouldn’t you say? When it comes to all that the Lord does, He does so much to bless us. God wants to bless us! But I wouldn’t want Him to do that.
Do what? “The LORD hath mingled a perverse spirit in the midst...”
1 Timothy 1.15
Three little words…
When we see it like that, and read it like that, it sounds like this person thinks a lot of himself to make such a claim… “I am chief.”
But actually the opposite was true. It is the Apostle Paul and he is telling us what he thinks of himself, “This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners…”
1 Peter 2:2-3
The above is an illustration. It is an illustration which reminds us that all newborn babies are hungry! Parents, especially mothers, know that.
As born again Christians we are encouraged to be like “newborn babes” and “desire” - go looking for - that good nutritious spiritual food – the Word of God!
