But This Man

“But this man,

after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever,

sat down on the right hand of God;”

Hebrews 10.12

How incredible are these words?  “this man… offered one sacrifice for sins for ever”!

It should be no surprise who “this Man” is –

“For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men,

the man Christ Jesus;” 1 Timothy 2.5

But who else could do such a thing?  “this man… offered one sacrifice for sins for ever”?!  We could name, all of the great men and all of the great women of all the world of all time and - ALL TOGETHER they could not offer… one sacrifice… for sins… for ever…!

In fact – God tells us that He “spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all…” “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Romans 8.32, John 3.16

WHY?

Because… He ALONE could…

“…this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever,

sat down on the right hand of God;”

This man – “the man Christ Jesus” is my Saviour - He ALONE is my Saviour… Is He yours?
