Let us pass over unto the other side.

Mark 4:35

We see in this passage the instructions of the Lord Jesus Christ to His disciples.  Little did they know what lay before them.  They were simply doing as they were told, getting into the ship, setting sail, resting and preparing for whatever was next.

“And there arose a great storm of wind,

and the waves beat into the ship, so that is was now full...”

Great...!  What about the “Let us pass over...”?  What about the excitement, the opportunity to serve the Master?  “Master, carest thou not that we perish?”

This is not what we expected!  We were “dreaming our dreams”!  We were talking about all the great things we were planning to do... for You!  Now Look!  What a disaster!  Obviously, You didn’t know what was going to happen or You would not have let us get into this storm!

“And he arose, and rebuked the wind and said unto the sea, Peace, be still.

And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful?

How is it that you have no faith?”

We should remember: The Lord does know what is around the corner for us.
