God's Workman

“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” - 2 Timothy 2.15

Sometimes we think of study as a BAD THING  –  BUT it’s NOT!!!

Sure... study does mean “to make (an) effort” and to “be diligent”, but those are the sorts of desires, gifts and abilities the Lord gives us... when we become a born again Christian – Amen!

The desire - to know things about the Lord and the Bible that we never knew before!  “Thy words were found, and i did eat them;” (Jeremiah 15.16)

The ability - to get into the Word of God and “search the scriptures”...

The hunger - to grow, “As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:” (John 5.39, 1 Peter 2.2)

Study is just the routine and consistency to be diligent in our searching and growing.

What have you been studying lately?  Where are you at in your Bible reading?

Are there some thoughts and topics you have been looking at?  What are some questions you have been asked, or questions you have had yourself?

“Study to shew thyself approved unto God” and make sure our, “delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law (we can) meditate day and night.”  Because when we do, we have a promise, “Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart”. (Psalm 1.2, Psalm 37.4)

Run with patience,
Pastor
