Give Ourselves Continually

“But we will give ourselves continually to prayer,

and to the ministry of the word.” - Acts 6.4

These are the words of the twelve apostles during the time they needed to be focused and organized as ministers, preachers and pastors!

I claimed this verse sometime in 2006 for myself in my work as a pastor.

“But we will give ourselves continually to prayer,

and to the ministry of the word.”

There are always so many things that can claim our time.  We all have responsibilities to our families, church, workplaces and communities but God will help us keep the balance as we seek to keep Him first in our life.  Because we especially, as ministers of the Gospel, and pastors of churches MUST keep the balance!  Regardless of the demands and expectations – when it seems everything is pressing us one way or the other and we want to do it all but...?
