“it was night.”

John 13.30

This is speaking of the time when Judas Iscariot left Jesus, to betray Him.

“He then having received the sop went immediately out: and it was night.”

“it was night.”

The thing is, it had always been night for Judas.  Though he had been with Jesus for some three and a half years, and seen the miracles that Jesus did, the hungry multitudes were fed twice, the lame could walk, the blind could see, the paralysed were made whole, those possessed of devils were freed, the stormy seas calmed, the dead raised to life!  But for Judas… “it was night.”

Yes, Judas Iscariot believed that Jesus could perform miracles etc. but he never turned from sin and believed in Jesus as his Lord and Saviour.  “But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.” Hebrews 10:39

“it was night.”

“And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.” John 3:19-21

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

Have you turned in repentance and faith from darkness to the Light?  Have you believed in the Lord Jesus Christ to the saving of your soul?  Do it today!  Don’t be like Judas Iscariot and remain in darkness!
