“How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?”

Romans 10.14

“How..?”  “and how?”  “and how…?” 

The answer is in the next few verses:

“…how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

As born again believers (Christians) we have the great privilege and the sobering responsibility to “preach the gospel of peace” from the Word of God, because, “faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

We….are ‘the Christian’!

The Lord Jesus said, “What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops.” (Matthew 10.27)

We are… ‘the Missionary’!

In our homes, neighbourhoods, shops and workplaces, we are the Christian, and we are the Missionary.. “How then shall they call on him…? …faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
