“delivered for ever from my judge.”

Job 23.7

Does the Bible here tell me that I can be delivered from ever being judged eternally for my sin?

I think so!

Here Job is struggling with things that have happened to him.  They were terrible things that we would think could only happen to terrible, ungodly people!  In his struggle Job says this, Oh that I knew where I might find him! that I might come even to his seat! I would order my cause before him, and fill my mouth with arguments. I would know the words which he would answer me, and understand what he would say unto me. Will he plead against me with his great power? No; but he would put strength in me. There the righteous might dispute with him; so should I be delivered for ever from my judge. Job 23:3-7

I may not know much, but I know this:

  1. I am a sinner and I deserve to meet the Judge of all the earth!
  2. By God’s grace I was introduced to Jesus, who took my punishment and judgment on the cross and now, He is seated in heaven on the right hand of God!
  3. When I turned to Jesus and asked Him to save me, He delivered (me) for ever from my judge!

I don’t know what to say other than “Thank You Lord Jesus!” and then I should care about others, and ask when I can, “Have you met the Lord Jesus Christ and received Him as your Saviour?  Or are you still ‘waiting to come before the Judge’?”

Please let me or a true Christian friend introduce you to Jesus!  Then you can say, “I am ‘delivered for ever from my judge’!”
