“...and even...”

Psalm 121.8

Whoa...!

Here we go again!!!  What’s coming next?

Something has been said... and now something is being added to it... “...and even...”!

Is it like the neighbourhood fights when I was a kid?  Insults would fly, then mud, then stones, “...and even...”

Someone would throw a knife (long story – not my fault) then the Police would arrive, “...and even...”

Is it like going from BAD... “...and even...” to WORSE?

No, actually.  This verse goes from GOOD... “...and even...” to BETTER!

“The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in

from this day forth, and even for evermore.”

That is good news.  No, that is great news!

When we go out and when we come in, as we go about the things we have to do in this life, as we serve the Lord and walk with Him, and love Him, as we just simply live day in and day out, the Lord will look after us!  He will preserve us or.  Like God did with Job, He will put a hedge around us to protect us and guard us.  He will tell us to “beware” of trouble and troublesome people.  That is good news, but that is not all!  The Lord will not only “preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this day forth”, but/and... even... for... evermore!!!  “and even for evermore.”

“The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this day forth, and even for evermore.”  Isn’t it great being a born again, Bible-believing Christian!
