“…and the Lord hath not done all this.”

Deuteronomy 32.27c

Nearly every time I read this verse I must go back and read it again because I think I must have read it wrong!

The context is, What happens to the people of the Lord when they turn their back on their God…  Well, things go bad… then things go from bad – to worse!

But as bad as things might get, people often look around and say “…and the Lord hath not done all this.”  It’s bad luck...

…just unlucky.

What…?  Just “bad luck”?

I pray two things:

• May the Lord keep me from ever going down the path AWAY from Him and His blessings!

• If ever I begin to stray – May I see that it is “the LORD” Who cares enough to correct and rebuke and bring me back, “ the Lord hath… done all this.”!

Thank the Lord for every verse and every line of the Bible, even if there are times, when we need to do a “double take” because what we’re reading doesn’t make sense!  Every bit of the Bible is there to help us!  READ THE BIBLE!
